you’re right, for those who don’t know…removing an object that is impaled is always a BAD idea, you neverk now when that object has pierced an arterial vessel. it’s better to always leave an object in and just bandage AROUND it. It may just keep your patient alive.

Anatomy student here… A shot to the liver would kill rather quickly, but not within the span of a few seconds. It would be more like 1, maybe 2 minutes simply because you would have to bleed out and that requires 2 pints+ of blood. However, in this case, if he had been skewered, then the blood loss would be minimal and he could technically fight on if he could ignore the pain. the biggest danger there would become septicemia and tetanus simply because he was stabbed by a rusty iron pole.

althuogh i really didn’t like this fight scene because in spite of Mel Gibson’s apparent age and the character’s, he really downplayed the fight. he was really great at the last fight in the first film using some nice moves but he became less agile in this one.
oh did i mention that he stopped wearing tight jeans with cowboy boots?

true. well it was kinda semi-realistic to me as jet really was kicking their asses. 2 vs 1. he was about to toast mel gib but glover came in with the pole through the liver thing. it was enough for me to buy the whole deal. felt satisfied his ass was kicked proper at the end

for some reason i like seeing jet li get smashed. same reason i like seeing the coyote eat the road runner and tom finally get jerry. in other words, it’s a return to reality otherwise i just get so mad because they are no longer the underdogs. winning for them (jet, jerry, roadrunner etc) is expected. i want the underdog to win, and after a while, the underdog becomes the other person they are against.

When I first saw the final battle, I did not expect the entire area to feature thunder and lightning. It added a lot more tension to that awesome fight scene and made the villain (Jet Li) even more menacing than how he was before!

Its when he gets stabbed through the body from that Rebar. AAAAHHHHH! FUCK, that must hurt! And then Riggs picks him up after!! I always touch my stomach after I see that. Great fight scene though. I’ve never seen Jet Li before until I watched this. Richard Donner knows how to pick his villains well.
