N Jeet Kune do videos last night with a little amount of Bruce Lee, and I just love it, that pretty much left me in confusion. Is karate a bad choice for self defense? In kumite, you 're allways lower position in the fight, and be honest, I do not know that would work in a real fight. In karate, the only punch you ever really used is the "geyagotsoki" (I know that 's not how you spell it) but in Jeet Kune do it' s much more than that, and the techniques of karate are defense pretty much just hangs and is nothing compared to what is in Jeet Kune do. I just can 't imagine a real fight using my karate lessons, but it does not feel the same when it comes to Jeet Kune. Thanks for reading. Lee M: Now I do not know if that 's an insult or what.
